Rye is a full-blood Italian Maremma imported directly from Italy.  He is of Maremmanno and Abruzzese bloodline decent. He is a cautious boy who always alerts when something is out of the norm. Rye is fearless and certainly doesn’t hesitate to meet a perceived threat head on with a persistent alert to deter. Rye is also eager to perform an elaborate happy dance when greeting his people or livestock. He does a triple check with unfamiliar humans, but quickly becomes any man’s best friend once he has confirmed that you’re a good guy. As the “First Responder” of the team, he won’t let anything get past him without serious investigation. Rye is a versatile dog who has bonded closely with all livestock on the farm.
